A longtime hip-hop fan, French rapper Ded Mic learned breakdancing at a young age and started to write his first raps in English. After forming the underground urban duo with childhood friend Kalu, they released their first mixtape Massacre Verbal in 2015 followed by several live performances in renowned Parisian venues like New Morning and Le Trianon.
Throughout 2016 and 2017 he focused on solo projects releasing 2 self-produced EP’s, Freestyle and Come Chill With Us, which explored a production style closer to electronic music.
Ded Mic spent the next 3 years perfecting his approach to music with a degree in music production. In 2020, he released a new single “Trippin’” featuring Diell, ingeniously combining Chillhop and Neo-Soul.
Drawing his influence from a wide range of French and international artists like Eminem, Chill Bump, Chinese Man, and Rilès, he has refreshed his production style from one project to the next. His first solo album is set to be released in 2021.
